who else here has j's racing rear seatbelt bar?
got a question here about my bar, its been installed in my car for quite some time, but i dont know wether to adjust it in? (which would pull the sides of the car in) or should i expand it which of course would do the opposite. its set in right now, but i was thinking maybe it would be stiffer push them out.?
I don't think you will want to push or pull the sides of the car in...just get is set and leave it. Better yet, ditch the harness bar and get a 4pt. roll bar...
he mentioned nothing about a seat belt, hes asking about bar that mounts on the rear seatbelt bolts

that pic shows the bar, its not his car. yea, that would be a great place for a camera, jsut let it hang below the bar. i used one of those J's bars on my old R and i think it eliminated some excess body roll. great bar for only $150
What he is referring to is the C-pillar bar. It's mounted to the rear seatbelt bolts.
This piece below:
It's hard to see, but at each end of the bar, before the mount, you can adjust the length. It's the same feature found on a lot of strut, sway, and tie bars.
What I would suggest is that you adjust the bar so that it is just snug against the C-pillar. I would think that for this part of the chassis, you'd want it to maintain it's original form under stress, not alter it... just my 2 cents.

you are crazy if you think that would hold up in a wreck.......get a 4pt if you want a "harness bar"
