When i bought my hatch, it had a generic tuner muffler put on and where the single bolt that holds the silencer in place, there's a small weld around it. I know nothing of welding or anything, but if i took it to a muffler shop in town, do you think they could undo that little weld spot so i take the silencer out? I want to see how loud the muffler really is. Wanna have a little fun.

 

just grind the spot with the weld, thats what they will do, use a dremel it should work good

We used a dremel and had no luck with it. So we just stopped by the local muffler shop and they toruced the weld off. Had a little hole in the muffler but the silence got taken out. only problem was is that the torch kinda started to melt part of the silencer and warped it upward leaving a hole in it. So we just ended up getting a new muffler with a non welded silencer put in it. Thanks.

 

Man don't any of you guys have plasma cutters in your garages?
