Default '91 Accord EX, automatic tranny problem

Okay, my transmission is starting to have a big delay in between shifting from reverse to drive and whatnot. Basically it's starting to show signs that it's beginning to be on its way out. Over time though, if it does decide to go out, about how much does it cost on average to have it rebuilt, or to get a rebuilt transmission?

Err, I'll just put it this way: it needs a fluid change NOW, which I will be doing soon. It has 251,000 miles.

Have your tranny flushed (all 9 quarts) with Honda ATF-Z1 and that will help out a lot. It may not be 100% but it will be better

Someone at work thinks it could be a torque converter problem but who the hell knows. I'm gonna get a friend of ours to check it out when it goes into the shop to fix stupid stuff.
