Default Limited Mods (for now) and being bummed

Does anyone else get a little bummed about whats available for our cars? I mean, I know the cars are too new still but I'm so amped up about modding it that, sometimes, the lack of options is a thrill kill. There's about 3 cat-backs, 2 CAIs, 2 shortrams, 1 header and a 1 turbo kit thats about a month from being released. No headlights, 3 crappy fiberglass kits, one stock aero kit and tail light vinyls. If we want to stand out individually (you know, all 100 of us ) it's gonna be rims and tires.

This is the first time I've ever modded a new car. I've always had used. Am I alone in the anticipation or is anyone else ready to drop massive $$$ for new stuff because they're anxious? I know that good things come to those who wait....

Imagine how the FG1 people feel... in comparison, we've got nothing!

Well, what do you expect for a new car! Products need to go thru R&D!

That's why if I buy a car to modify, its always at least 5 years old, as parts are readily available as long as its popular enough to mod.

Just be patient.
I use to have a 7th gen civic ex...there was NOTHING for that car for a very long time. Even still, there isnt that much. The good news is, is that companies realize that these civics (8th gen) are getting a lot of attention, and they are doing something about it. All the Si people wont have a problem within the next few months. Lots of turbo kits, superchargers, NA stuff, suspension stuff will be out in no time at all. The others (like what I am probably getting soon...LX) will have to just wait. The fact that comptech wants the non-Si cars is a step in the right direction though.
Eventually HASport will get their hands dirty with this car...then just swap an Si motor in

I'm going to have to wait for a while myself. I want to see what this Z3 is capable of, and just build up the motor. Turbo is cool, but I'm not much of a boost fan. I want to pull up, rev, and watch someone think "hmm no turbo? I got this..." then just watch them fade in my mirrors.

You gotta think in terms of economics too. There's a bunch of tuner companies, and AT MAX, their market is about 7500 cars right now- at least with the Si. And not everyone bought this car to modify it. Most people won't modify their brand new Si at all. So how many people are they actually making these parts for? It's not a huge market if you think about it. Those who do mod often spend quite a bit to do it, but it's still not a lot of people.
