Valve Adj. Help quicky plz !!
So i got a 91 teg B18 engine.... and im doing a valve adjustment, but the tool the little fittings that show the .008 intake , well where does that go to see if its in that range... ??
The feeler gauge goes between the cam lobe and the rocker arm.
This link is for the B18C, but your DOHC is quite similar.

Damn, well that sucks. If you can't pop it back in place, you're gonna have to take the timing belt off, take the cam holders off, and tilt the cam up until you can pop it back in. It's possible you won't have to completely remove the cam if it's cylinder 2, but it's iffy. You should look at redpepperracing.com for the tq specs and pattern for retightening the cam holders, and then also look for the timing belt instructions. You probably won't be able to keep everything at TDC, so when you're putting the tbelt back on, make sure the white mark on the crank pulley is lined up with the mark on the lower timing cover, and that the 2 camgears are also at TDC, and try to loosen the tensioner so you can squeeze the belt back over the camgears without taking everything apart.
Note: the tensioner is on the side of the motor underneath the little black plug, about 6 inches below the camgears. Turn it to the left so you have a little bit of slack on the tbelt. Look at the helms service manual at the site above if you don't know what I am describing.
Good luck man, take your time, and see if you can get a couple of helpers to help you keep everything at TDC when you're messing with the cams while the belt is off, you don't want things to move.

ok so i tried taking off those 2 bolts that hold the cam in, but after that, that metal that sits on top, wont come off.... any way to get that sucker off ??
you don't need to take out the cam gear bolt, you just want enough room under the cam to slip that rocker back in. You just need to take off the cam holders and tilt it from the cam gear side (leaving the cam gear on) and squeeze it back in.
Oh, i see what you're saying, damn, that sucks. So you didn't strip the bolt threads, you rounded the head of the bolt so you can no longer turn it?
If you get a glove and just grab the whole thing, you should be able to move it by hand. Then put a pin punch (grab a drill bit or something or a 5mm allen wrench) in the TDC hole on the cam and holder. If that doesn't work, try to file the edges of bolt flat again so a smaller socket will fit on. I wouldn't hammer on a smaller socket either, I would be worried about all that smacking of the valve train.
yeesh, sorry man, you're having some terrible terrible luck.

you can get a crecent wrech and move it , theres is a area on the cams by the first cylinder for a wrench.(it goes around the cam)
looks towards cyliner 1

why don't you just call Acurazor from AZHT and have him come out and help you. He offered to go to your house, but you were too busy. Sounds to me like you could need it. You should do it before something else get's broken.
