need help!! my girl is pregnant only car
started off with a leak from the driver side axle i changed the seal and that didnt work so then i got a new axle because the old one looked like it had to big of a gap between the tranny to seal n e thing.when i got the new axle it looked the same so i thought it was normal filled up the tranny went for a ride came home and the same thing.am i doing something wrong or could it be somethin else?
Sounds like the axle didn't seat all the way in the transmission. I've had axles that were VERY difficult to get to snap into place. Your gonna have to get back in there & push that sucker in. Try having someone turn the tire on the other side while you push the axle in. It may not be lined up or something.
My problem was the C clip on the tip of the axle. I switched the new one with the old one from my bad axle & it finally snapped into place. Since your old axle wouldn't pop in either, you could try taking the C-clip off, and giving it a gentle squeeze with some pliers. Keep doing this until you get a confident "snap" into place. If you squeeze the C-clip too tight it will snap in too loosely. That may cause the axle to slip out during driving causing oil leakage, so you may have to spread the clip open & try again...
