go to your local parts store and get a small bottle of a/c oil for R-12 system.. assuming a/c system has not been retrifitted to accept R134A.., it only takes 2-3 oz of oil.. Also i would advice that you replace the receiver drier ..... and then evac + recharge ..

Again accord-pro is right! But I reccomend a R134A conversion and the installation of a ultraviolet dye to find any possible leaks. R12 will break your wallet!

I reccomend Honda PAG oil. And yes most definately replace the reciever drier. Even if the a/c worked at this age it's a good time to go ahead and do it

Honda sells the conversion kit which includes the Honda PAG oil that MooGoCow recommended, Also has the fittings but no refigerent. Not real expensive but you'll need a A/C licensed tech to do the evacuation and recharge. (Don't forget the dye, It will save you in the long run)

I would NOT do a r143a conversion on these cars. The R12 system os barely sufficient if you live in a extremely hot area. You will be way better off properly repairing the system and refilling it with r12
