good engine to go with?
I've been looking around for a short term replacement for my current d16a6 while I rebuild it and found this local shop that would sell me a d16z (I think) for $100. Personally, I've never heard of the d16z (I'm almost positive that's what he said it was). He said it had about 100K miles on it, and it ran fine when he got it. It didn't look to impressive, pretty much like any high mileage engine, but what can you expect for $100? Anyway, would this be a good choice or should I keep looking? THanks.
Never heard of the D16z. Maybe he meant the D16z6 which is a SOHC vtec engine. It's pretty decent. That's what I have in my 91 DX actually. It's a good alternative if you don't have a lot of $.
