No............

Intercoolers are sealed units, aside from the inlet/outlet openings.
If you seal one end and connect the other to your IM, your engine will starve from zero oxygen.

that basically would work, but you wont see any gains over a normal cai...in fact its probably worse

w/out boost the intake air temp doesnt rise much beyond ambient temp or underhood temp. the point of an I/C is to reduce the heat caused by the turbo.

If you really want to be JDM, you can buy a front mount cold air. LOL. You have to have a special "ricer" license to purchase one though. Oh, by the way, I hate JDM.

It would work...but would be retarded......it would actually take away from performance because of the restriction it would cause versus a CAI or short ram......if you really want to look turbo'd when you aren't (idk why you would) then do cold air intake so it goes down into your bumper and just put on the intercooler anyways.

you cant be serious ... ic's are like radiators, there are not perforated (sp) holes, they just have "cooling fins"

its possible to do, ive seen it done before (kid was waiting for a few more pieces), and it basically just served as an intake for a day or two.

but if you do it just because, then your pretty whack.

man, ht members call this rice....anything that's not BARE *** STOCK on a honda civic is rice....u put ur Apex N1 exhaust on there to make it sound loud, THAT'S RICE, so what if he wants pple to think he has a turbo, if that scares people from racing him, then he obviously accomplished something..until he gets a real turbo or car :-\

It would be different, but:

A) A waste of time and money

B) You would more then likely lose power.

So, if you do decide to do it
Let us know the numbers.

You dirty ricer.

You will most likely lose power. As stated, intercoolers just get the air close to ambient temp, so you won't gain anything there. Also the intercooler itself, along with the long piping and bends you will need would be a huge disruption in airflow. Stick with a CAI or SR until you get a real turbo. Or you could just buy an electric one.
