Goodridge SS lines... Bad Banjo Bolt!
While installing one of them today, the banjo bolt straight up snapped, while it was on the torque wrench on it's way to 34 ft lbs. Very disturbing, it's a new kit. The package says guaranteed for life so I don't think I'll have a problem getting it replaced, but it makes me weary. Has this happened to anyone else? The bolt look a lot lighter than the OEM ones.
per recommendation from ceas, when I installed my goodridge lines, i reused my stock banjo bolts but used the washers that were supplied from the kit. The reasoning behind this is because on the stock bolt, you have one hole drilled in the side. However, on the Goodridge bolt, you have 2 holes which should weaken the integrity of the bolt. Case in point your bolt snapping when you torqued it down. If you chose to reuse your stock banjo bolt, I recommend sticking w/ the Honda washers as well. I got lazy and didn't feel like getting new ones when I put mine in.

Yuck, I'm sorry to hear that. I recently installed my lines (ITR Part # on my GS-R) and I had no problems with the bolts. I also used the crush washers from Goodridge and have yet to have any problems, *knock on wood*. Hopefully they do and they should replace the bolt for yah.
Happened to me like 5 years ago. I also had to reuse the stock banjo bolt. I just didn't torque them down to spec b/c the brake fluid wouldn't allow for that. Glad that I figured that one out...after I broke it.
