Default is this head salvageable?

Hey, I just picked up my k20 longblock, got it real cheap! I knew the guy had misshifted and that it had a bent valve, so I was gonna replace already. Nut I was just wondering, is this head salvagable? it looks pretty bad to me...

Anything is repairable. How much money is the only question.

**** i got pics to post but they are on my laptop at home. this is not an attempt to thread-jack - i have 2 questionable heads myself and I think it fits right in with the topic.

See the sparkplug hole in the original poster's pic? See the 4 valves surrouding the sparkplug hole? I got hair-line cracks from the plug hole to the valves. Does that make a head unsalvageable?

Wow...ripped the seat right out of the head. Definitely salvageable though.

DonF has fixed about 5 heads of mine, dont throw them away yet, i had some that were absolutely FUCKED in every sense of the word, came back good as new.

IIRC he charges around $350-500 depending on how severe, i got new guides, seates etc on plus the rewelding, damn good deal if your trying to save a $600-1000 head

1 head is in the process of being put on.

I know the other two were for people i referred to don. all have been extremely satisfied

Yes, both of your heads can be repaired without spending an "arm and a leg". I would get them both rebuilt if you hadn't done it all ready.
