Default Waiting for the 2007

I know not much will change, if anything at all. I am more concerned about resale. A future buyer would much rather have an 07 compared to an 06. What is the most likely time an 07 will come out in the lx or ex sedans? thanks

A future buyer would rather than and 08 compared to an 07, 09 compared to 08, 10 compared to 09 etc etc infinity.......

Your logic is flawed.

Buyers come in all ranges, they look for deals
you can have an 07 with 100k and dents
or an 06 with 10k and flawless

which would you buy?

Thanks for the comments, but since I am only (I figure) months away from an 07, I might as well wait. Also, I am in no rush to buy. I already have a car, and really can wait to 08 if I felt like it was worth it, but I won't. I want to wait for an 07 though. Any ideas of when one will come out?

Where did you get 2 years? AFIK, 6th gen was a 5-year run (96-00). 4, 5 and 7 were all 4-years. Not sure about the first 3 gens but I think they were close to 4 as well.

Look for this one to be at least 4 years. That's generally been the length of the Civic's model cycle for the last couple of decades. And there's usually a mild redesign in the middle of the run. so there will probably be some cosmetic changes for '08.

edit: disregard the above. I responded without reading thoroughly.

Pssst we're talking Si's not all models
read his post

FG2 = CIVIC SI

So the 6th gen was only 99 and 00 unless you have a limited production 98 civic si

oops. yeah you're right. I was replying in the scope of the OP's topic. to me.

Yeah Si's are all over the place in terms of length of run. Seeing how well these are selling, though, I bet we'll be seeing 08s and 09s

Damn. Are these threads going to start already? I am going to go out on a limb and say that if people, including myself, waiting two and three months for an 06 in May, then I don't think the 07 will come out till right before the ball drops. I called Honda of America today and talked to a couple people, and they all said that they haven't heard anything on when the 07 is coming out so you take a risk. They may come out in September, or December. You just don't know and neither does anyone else.

If you're wanting to save the most $$. I'd buy an '06 towards late October, or early November. I'm friends with a sales manager at Moses Honda and they have to get rid of all '06's at the end of the year. I'd look for the better rebates and financing opportunities to happen then-well, hope you find something

Do you really think a dealership is going to drop the price on an Si? If the demand stays where its at, I doubt it. Plus, the price creeps up slowly every 8 weeks or so. The Si is no longer a "complete package for just under $20K" as it was originally touted. If money isn't an issue than, sure, wait. Otherwise, wtf?
