Default Full-Race intake mani.

Just curious to know who is running one and what they think of so far, and what is everyone else using besides the F-R

I just recently recieved my F-R mani, and im not that impressed with it, just wanted other opinions

Also this is not meant to bash anybody, just want honest opinions thanks

Why are you not impressed with the F-R mani? I have one but am having motor issues so I can not give feedback yet.

would like to know also, what you don't like about the FR manifold. I have a few dislikes about it, but that was just from the pics that I seen.

We run the Venom IM on both of our cars. Power is great, no complaints.

Anyone have pictures of what it even looks like? Last time I checked, they did not have pictures of it on their website yet.

Thanks.

Seems to be, the only reason I wouldn't like it, is the thickness of the flange on the IM itself, But It shouldn't pose a problem with an insulating gasket, such as the hondata.

Looks like a nice one to me...

So over all which is the best bang for the buck?

Full Race, Victor X, Golden Eagle or something else?

i have a few reasons why I dont like it, i know some maybe a little picky, but for $900 for a casted mani, Im not to happy.

1. This was already disccussed, but the flange. It just looks weak, I know its not supporting much weight if any, but still dont like it.

2. Threads for the NTP fittings were tapped in crooked, and they werent tapped the right size.

3. Threads for the fuel rail were tapped in crooked so the rail didnt line up right, and the threads were not tapped in deep enough.

4. IACV was not even close to fitting the holes that were made for it.

5. Where the throttle body bolts up, half of the intake hole was polished, the other half was cast, maybe its supposed to be like this???, but I dont see why it would

6. I was told on the phone it would come with all gaskets and hardware, it didn't. I had to call and find out what type the fittings where supposed to be and went and spent another $20 on those.

7. The welds are great and everything, but there are only 2 welds on it, the rest were only casted pieces. I know alot of design went into the Mani., but for $900 I should have got the JG Engine Dynamics

too bad the velocity stacks arent more smooth like this (from Magnus Motorsports)...or maybe there is a reason why the FR is like that?

im sure one of the full race guys will chime in on the problems you had.....but the early batch of manifolds had a few issues which will be corrected by the next batch.

So what do the owners of the first batch do? Are they gonna recall them. LOL.

Do they refund some of the money for not having a perfect product?

I think is was too hard to cast them like that or too expensive

The thing that I dont understand, is why would they send it out, if they knew they had the problems, it's not a big deal I guess anymore I spoke to them yesterday and they said they would have no problem sending a new one, or refunding the money. Maybe Ill just put the money to one one of there ported shroud gt35's.

sorry you were disappointed in your manifold. there were approx. 8 manifolds that went out with machining errors from the machine shop before we caught them. the errors we had were some were incorrectly drilled/tapped for the IAC (send your manifold in, we will send a new one out), some had NPT ports tapped backwards (either tap them from the other side yourself or send it it, we will send a new one out) and some have some raw casting on the machined finish from core shift.

If anyone has a manifold they have a problem with, call us, we will take care of you.

the velocity stacks as we have designed them work better than the stacks pictured, due to the developed flow under the lip (trumpet).

I am confident that the powerband and performance you get out of this manifold will surpass virtually anything on the market, the majority of ITB setups included.
