Default difference in dash wire harness between base and SH?

Im converting my base auto into a 5 speed. I found a manual dash harness on ebay,. but its for an SH. The part numbers between SH and base are different, but does anyone know the differences? Also, I just thought of this: will a manual transmisison dash harness plug into an auto ECU?

I don't know about the dash harness, but the ECU will plug in. Whatever the differences are, I don't think they would be so much, you can't just run a couple extra wires if needed.

So, you mean the auto ecu will plug into the manual harness? or, the base and SH harnesses are interchangeable?

The plugs are all the same and will go into any ECU, auto or manual.

well, not really. im collecting parts for my 5 speed swap and I dont like doing hack jobs. When i do stuff I want to do it the right way. I dont half *** stuff. So, when changing to the 5 speed pedals, you need to wire in the clutch switch and stuff for the cruise control, and the manual gauge cluster. I guess the cluster will be fine, i just dont like added wires and connectors just chillin....I have the cash and I just like to take my time and do it right....thats all.

well have fun is all I can say. I have done it that way, and NEVER again will I do it. You would need the engine harness, and chassis harness and at least one FULL day to change it over.
The firewall harness and engine harness will allow you to rewire EVERYTHING from the dash forward. Doing that really sucks. Specially since unless you get all teh right relays you may still have some extra plugs. Removing the dash as well really blows, and getting it all back together on top of running all teh wiring down to the headlights and so on.

But hey, its your time its going to eat up.

Im not gonna do the engine harness. the main difference in the auto and manual engine harness is the plugs for the auto trans which I can live with. I just didnt want to rig the cruise and clutch switches...Ive built an entire RX7 racecar with a MoTeC M8 ecu so Im not afraid of a little wiring...
