Default need help fast with a simple electrical question

The power wire from my fuse box ( under the hood ) shorted out and the tip of it melted... I looked in the fuse box and no fuses look to be blown out. I was able to grab the wire off of the ground before it got dangerous... should I just reconnect the wire and drive, or is there now something that is probably messed up that I need to fix or some kind of fuse that I need to replace?

the (+) wire from battery? that what your talking about? what part melted? how did this happen? grab a multimeter a test the wires if you run into any problems. if no fuses are blown then just replace the wire and you be ok.

The 100-ampere fuse under the fuse box in the engine bay didn't blow for some reason. I just sliced-off the little bit of crispy wire at the end and reconnected it, and evrything seems fine now. My projector retrofit is complete!!!!
