easy choice...stock b16 is for mid range power or autocross style....but for maximum power and a longer/broader power band the skunk2 is best.....i believe at like 8500rpm the skunk2 makes 20horse over the stock manifold cause the stock manifold falls off so quickly....

I would never buy a victor x, they don't seem practical for everyday driving, I would say track only cause I belive they make power at the 7-10k rpm range.. that's super high for at least dd

This is going on a B16 I'm assuming?

I don't know if they redesigned the Skunk2 IM like they did with the GSR version. The pro series is supposedly better. I have the original Skunk IM and it's sloppy with what looks like a lot of epoxy.

If you got the money, go with a reworked ITR manifold by Endyn, RLZ etc... It's expensive but worth it.

Considering a JDM B16A intake manifold isn't legal in California, you won't be wanting one of those.

Skunk2's B-series manifolds are CARB-exempt.

well...i didnt mean that it lost power and then made it at 8500 put thats a substantial gain...

but througout the power band the skunk2 and the stock are pretty damn close to each other and when the stock manifold peaks out at 7600rpm the skunk2 will make the same peak power at 8000k and hold it consistently well beyon 8300krpm...so the peak power was rise a couple hundred rpm but the peak number is held for longer and thus you can shift later and land higher in the band and still be making the same power as stock.

I thought skunk 2's were for mid-range 3-5?

I have a skunk 2 manifold and its pretty tight. I personally think it pushes more air. I would go skunk 2 if i were you.

I have the skunk2 IM (older model) on my B16A2 and have had no problems with it what so ever. So I say go for the Skunk2

Is the Pro Series that much better than the older model? What's better about it?

I was referring to the GSR manifold. The old version was basically an ITR replica. The new one has runners that actually line up with GSR ports so it flows better with a P72 head.

The victor x is too large for an NA, at least not a fully built one, and even then probably not.

Indeed, I'm not saying the victor x is a bad intake manifold, i'm just saying for the application you will be using skunk 2 - good all around.. victor x - if you live in the +7000rpm range lol
