Default I Crashed....Where to get GSR Front End?....

I believe that I'm still a trial user.....so I can't post anywhere else.

I'm going to start with the fact that I decided to rear end and Infiniti FX45. My front end has turned to ****, but the car is completely salvageable. I would like to know if anyone can help me create a list/find a front end or something of that sort. I'm hangin' by my last ******' thread with everything that's been going on recently and I could really use a hand. I know that the engine hasn't been displaced at all and everthing in front of the engine may need to be replaced(ie radiotor, a/c pipin', radiator mounting hardware, bumper, bumper cushion and reinforcement). There is little to no frame damage. It appears that there are 2 supports comin' off the frame that would hold/connect to the bumper are bend down a bit, not too crazily and I'm sure the frame can be pulled if need be.

I really don't have a lot of money to spend and I'm trin' to do this any way I can without runnin' tricks. I have **** to sell, not much but stuff to get me money, I don't care. I want it fixed as fast as possible.

If you guys could help in any way I would be eternally greatful. Thank you for your time if you read this.

Nic

You can probably find half the stuff actually on ebay.
Try JDMshit.com, passwordjdm.com, mostly "jdm" sites, but you never know.

That center frame you busted up is the Raditor support, and is only tack welded in,
So that one is a pretty easy fix, just make sure the top part of it is straight.

Yeah, I'm thinkin' of goin' to some junk yards but I'm not sure where to begin. After my car gets towed here tomorrow I'm goin' to remove the hood/bumper and whatever else I can from the front of the car to see what else may be damaged. I was able to drive to my uncle's house which is 5 miles away...while stopping occasionally, of course. I'm not about to expletive up my motor, too.

Anyhow, how can I get a list of what needs to be replaced exactly? What about a sensor for the air bag? I know i'll have to replace those. I really don't know what to do after I take everything off with the exception buying the replacement parts. As I stated previously I'm not made of cash and I'm goin' to lose at least 150 to title this new beater my uncle's givin' me on Friday plus my car payment and insurance is due as well.

Blah, I'm losin' my mind thinkin' about this. Again I appreciate your comments/help. Thank you.

If you have insurance they will do the damage report and then quote you for parts and labor. Then you take the list and money and buy the parts cheaper and install yourself. Thats what I did, I have full coverage but I am not sure how it works if you don't have collision.

WHat a great excuse to do a conversion.

Honestly i say do some more postings and then use the honda classified. THere are always parts that you are looking for. You can always bargain and they are usually cheaper. Good luck and sorry about the accident.

Thanks for the replies guys, I think I'll check that out. I don't have collision, argh, but I'll see if I can get an agent to estimate my damages, this is all out of pocket because of only having liability. I hope I can get an estimate done.

Let me save you alot of money, http://www.car-part.com They let you search a ton of salvage yards in your area and such. You should be able to find EVERYTHING there very quickly and for cheap too.

Great, I'll give that a go as well. I already searched for a lot of what I need and it appears as if they have it . I'll post some results if I can get up there within the week.

Keep in mind that there is nothing special about the GSR front.

I more prefer the stock look to much else at the moment. But I found a JDM conversion on passwordjdm and that, for the most part has a list of what I need.

You can buy an OEM bumper from your local Acura dealer for less than $300. Find a radiator support at a junkyard. I replaced my whole front end for less than $300 bucks because I got my radiator support for free.

That front is munched quite well. I would have the car checked by a frame shop as well. Did the fenders move at all?

your going to have to get your frame pulled before you can fit a new radiator support on there.

The fenders didn't move, the only bad thing in the pics from what I can see is the crinkled area you see on the 3rd pic. A friend of a friend supposedly owns/runs a body shop so I'll see what's goin' on with that. I really don't want to pay 400 or so to get it pulled..... I already called up some places about it. I have to wait until tomorrow when it's earlier, though.

The rear of my wife's Civic cost about $500 to be pulled and have new frame rails welded. $400 seems a bit high for a frame shop.
