Default 1997 Accord LX

Okay I just got my first car and I'm doing the payments on my own so I dont have alot of money for parts. And I dont wanna just go to Advance Auto and slap some "mad tyt3" APC parts on it like the ricers who rev in the school parkin lot lol.
I read that I would'nt really gain anything from a EX vtec head swap and it'd be more of a waste of cash. So are there any cheap mods I can make? And before I get flamed to death I did search

Is the maintnence all taken care of? The first thing I do when I buy a car is change all of the fluids. I wouldn't even give fun parts a thought until your sure every system in the car is working to potential.

Why you be hatin on teh apc yo? I agree, make sure basic maintenance is taken care of. Claybar and wax is one of my favorite mods. For a small amount of money you really can't do any noticable performance mods.

alot of APC parts can be sometimes rediculous, but sometimes it pays off, i also have a 1997 Honda Accord LX, the first thing i did however was put the car on my own matenience schedule so now i know when something has been changed or not, as well as being able to pass this years emissions test..

i went to autozone to look at just a cold air intake to replace the stock intake system in my car, they had one for 49.99, advanced autos was 69.99 and this pipe is huge goes from the back next to the firewall to the very front right behind the grill, and changed the sound dramatically
