16 valve head on 8 valve block ?
was wondering if u can put a Si head (16 valve) on a hf block (8 valve) ?
& would it run funny . or would u not be able to tell the diff ?
& what are the pro's & cons ?
awhile back me & a friend did it on his car , & it drove fine? but he only had it for like 2 months be4 he sold it , so i have no idea , how it's still doing iin the long run? ..

i've been asking around . & i've been geting alot of yays & nays . it's seems like every1 wo has done it . said it will work , but every1 who hasn't say nay & just goes by theray or what so & so said . so i was just doing more research
i'm not 100% sure, but you should probably use the 16v pistons though, we just changed out a cracked block on an hf with a dx block and it seems to work fine pretty much the exact opposite of what you want to do. we just stripped it down to the bare block and changed everything over. good luck

Im not sure how much piston to valve clearance youll have. The 8 valve pistons will only have 2 valve reliefs per piston...and the Si head has 4 valves per cylinder. So you have a higher risk of piston to valve contact. Not to mention the poor flame travel youll have across the top of the 2v pistons using a 4v head. This will most likely result in a poor and incomplete burn. If you were to go with the Si pistons then youll be good to go. Good luck man.
