I bought a 90 HF crx shell and IM trying to build a 10 sec. car but my so called friend wont tell me the truth becouse he doesnt want me to beat him so will some one help? or give me some info? thanks Ray

 

You are trying to build a 10 sec. honda yet don't know which will be faster? a ls/vtec turbo (assuming mild build) or a turbo b16?

Before even attempting to start your build i would suggest doing a lot of research as it seems you haven't done any.

Also don't build a car just so you can beat your friend...

 

Yes, before you do anything to your car, spend the next 3-4 months on Honda-tech, and read, read, read, and learn as much as possible about engines, and choices. The more you know, the more you will spend in the long run, and you will only do things once, instead of twice.

Believe me, you learn something everyday on HT, that tip is free this time.

I hope you realize that a 10 second Honda isn't exactly a simple build.

Unless you know what you're doing, or have unlimited money, have a more realistic goal.

..You want a 10sec. Honda but have no clue as to where to even start? Does your friend have a 10 sec. car? Slapping a turbo on a DOHC motor won't just get you in the 10s. Mislead rookies...

Well shot for the 13's, then the 12's, then 11's, but bro a 12 sec street car is lighting fast, and fast enough for some people. So set your goals on the 12's, and plus wanting a 10 sec car sounds like "fast and the furious" movie, don't do that.
