Default Does torque matter? im a noob...

Hi i am trying to beat my sister's car: dodge stratus R/T.. she has 200 hp and 205 torque... i want to put in a type-r motor which has 200 hp and about 138 torque? i am wondering does torque matter for 0-60 times and quarter mile times? or only horsepower... because my torque is so much lower than hers.. pls help!!

Yes torque matters. But if you put in an ITR engine into your Civic you are going to eat your sister's car alive. So you will be fine.

torque does matter somewhat. your sister does have a car with a very big motor but it can easily be beaten by a 1.8 given that it is swapped into a lighter car. weight to power ratio my friend. btw, what car are you driving?

Well it's a fast *** motor stock. depending on the driver I would say probably LOW 14's to HIGH 13's and if your just a kick *** driver mid 13's
