I started having some weird noise come out of my brake and rotor. So I thought it might just be the inside of the wheel ridin on the brake. Which I was wrong. When I spin the rotor it makes this noise. Although I thought it was the brake against the rotor it wasnt. It keeps makin that noise. I just replaced the half-shaft not more than a week ago. I've sat there for the past 30 mins tryin to figure it out. Can anyone help? Anyone have any similar problems?

 

hmmm... maybe the shield is rubbing agains the rotor, perhaps pushing it inwards a little, happened to me before . hope it mite help

 

Actually it was the sheild....lol....thanks man. Im just glad I didnt have to spend like another 100-200bucks more to fix somethin else. haha thanks

 

i had this happen about a year ago. I ended up having to replace my rotors (wasn't a bad excuse for some brembo drilled and slotted). are you having squeeking problems? mine started as a light squeek, then turned into a grind. what happened was the rotor warped from exposure to moisture. they had to use a sludge hammer to break the rotor off during installation (while i cringed in the corner). it wasn't that obvious to the naked eye, but just a little warp made the rotor rub on the caliper. this could be your problem?
