Sliding Brake Pins - Brake Noise
1994 Integra RS. 4 Wheel disc brakes. Metal on metal noise while rolling. Almost a scrapping noise. Hard on the pedal and the noise stops. Got the problem right after I put new pads and rotors on. Finally took it to the shop and they said the pins need lubed. Also said they are not a "serviceable" item but they could take them out and lube. Problem solved.
'til now. 5 months later. Noise gets worse the hotter it gets. Rotor is really scrapped up on outside edge so gonna turn them, get new pads but I need to get a handle on the problem.
Am I on the right track with the pins? Anyone have some good instructions on removing/installing pins w/ the high temp brake grease? How can I test that this is the problem or that I solved it without waiting for the noise and my rotor to cook?
Thanks for the help.

did u properly seat the pads to the new rotors by breaking them in? thats the only thing i can think of that might have caused this.

Break in? I did the Granny method. Took it easy for a while. I've been told that it is common for these pins to stick. You can't believe the noise. Rolling backwards out of the drive way is worst. Skreeeetch. And then while rolling it's just a constant swish, swish all the time the wheel is rolling.
This severe from not having a hard break in?

Got it. Frozen caliper. Pads on that side are toast. Once I got it off inspecting the pins was very clear. They slide easily within the boots. Still don't know how to service them..
Should be back in business once the caliper arrives.
Thanks for the help.
