difference between srd's and sr3
I'm not exactly sure but i think there are only the SRII which are the jdm recaro's, and the SRD which are the usdm recaro's. The USDM SRD recaro's are made to fit Americans, which means their not as tight, and the cloth used isn't as nice.
I had the US SRD's in my R for a while, and sat in the jdm's as well. It seems to me that the thigh bolstering on the JDM recaros is "looser" than the SRD.
Not to mention the fabric on the srd is a pain to clean.

I have the same question.. I didn't really understand with the responses.. so what is the difference between the SRD and the SR3?? And what brackets will the SR3 need to use?

the difference is the sr3 came as oem seats in type r's with the suece type material on bolsters and mesh type on the middle, srd's are the seats that you can buy at any recaro dealer, the srd's have recaro in big letters, and they are made out of different materials most common is cloth,
the brackets would be the same as any recaro/sparco with the bottom mount holes

No. The USDM Recaro SRDs are a WAY tighter fit than the JDM counterpart. I own them. Depending on when you bought them, the cloth material varies. Some versions are ok, some really good. I prefer them tenfold over the JDM Alcantra version.
