Hi guys, this is my first post here, newb on the forum not really new to cars though. I have searched and searched and haven't really found a good answer to my question. I have a 91 EF hatch STD I believe. It's not a HF/Si. The car has pretty much no wiring in it from the dash forward. I have plans to put a b16a in it and need to know what wiring harnesses to track down. Since I plan on wiring up the b16a should I get the Si/HF harness so that I can just buy the subharness to plug in between the two or do I have to buy a different kind of adapter? I also need to know if the HF/SI under dash harness will still work/plug in to the dash and all the other stuff because the car is not originally that. Pretty much will all of the wiring from an Si EF plug into all the electronics/dash/engine harness into my Civic STD and work so that I can just get the subharness to plug into the b16 ecu? Sorry about the long post. Thanks for any replies.

well first of you should find a si engine harness vtec ecu, conversion harness and will have to repin a few plugs at ecu i will look to se if i have pics and get back

Cool, here's where I am. I ripped all the wiring from under the dash of a CRX SI yesterday. I have <U>all</U> of the wiring for inside the car(thats a lot of crap!) and the part that runs out to the headlights and engine bay fuse box now. All from the SI car. I haven't put in my car yet to see if it plugs in to everything but I think it should work. So now all I should have to do is get a CRX or Civic SI wiring harness and plug it in, correct? Then just get a conversion harness to plug in between the vtec ecu? Thanks for the help.

 

ok let say you have the entire si harnes chassis and engine the you will need if going obd0 to obd1 a conversion harnes and vtec sub harness wired into engine harness
