This car is a stock 5 speed it shifts through all five gears fine and reverse with out grinding and forcing in. But it feels like the clutch wont engage when driving. I will be on flat ground and will release the clutch and give it gas and it wont go it the rpms go really high and then it will drop down and catch when i give it gas driving it jumps really high in the rpms is this a clutch problem. its just the stock vx motor. Someone help me please.

Sounds like a toasted clutch. Turn flywheel, new clutch and new pressure plate.
