VX clutch problems? New to hydro clutches
Picking up a VX tomorrow. Test drove it tonight.
This is my first EG... and I've not dealt with hydro clutches before.
I can shift into gears just fine, but the gear doesn't grab until the very top of the pedal. It's rather annoying. The previous owner thinks the clutch is going out, but if that were the case (I'm pretty sure) the clutch wouldn't engage until the pedal was on the floor... not the other way around.
The pedal comes back up, and has regular pressure.... it just won't grab until the very top of the pedal.
Hope this makes sense.
Can anyone offer an idea? The pedals might be after market. Is it possible that i just need to adjust the pedal?

So you're both in agreement that it most likely isn't the clutch?

It's really difficult to tell... it only grabs at the very end of depressing the pedal. It definitely feels softer than my 07 Fit, but that's to be expected.

Re: (SiMateoAko)
to confirm it's not the clutch. acclerrate in 1st and then shift to 5th and floor it. if the clutch dossent slip or act like it's trying to slip it's not the clutch giving out
