i have smoke out the exhaust at idle and when i back up don't know about driving, it's not alot just enough to notice when i back up and when i walk behind it, thinking bad head. what should i do to check

 

do a compression test

 

what do i need to do that?

 

compression tester, time, maybe a friend

 

but blue smoke is usually a sign of bad piston rings..

 

well what ever it is i just pick up another civic with a better motor for 350. i'll do a compresstion test prob next weekend. how much do compression testers go for?

you're going to buy another civic, then do a compression test? haha I don't get it? But anyway they go for around $30

no i jusr bought one the other day, (needed the front end.)
my motor as 320000 on it and i was going to rebuild the new one till i heard it one it's mint with 120000
