does it do it at idle or just when your driving? If its doing it all the time then the timing belt may be to light or to loose.

Hmm I wonder if the timing belt is too tight.

When you change your timing belt, did you also change your timing adjuster (tensinor) pulley bearing?

Is this Noise come while you car parked?

MooGoCow3 is right. if timing belt too tight then T/belt will make noise; but it will not last 6 months

ooh I changed my tensionor bearing $63.00 parts and changed my self

Remove your AC and power steering belts and turn them by hand – see if you can feel or hear anything, then start the car and see if you hear any noise

If none above then you must see a car doctor

MMMM.. you got to keep in mind that the hardest thing to do over the net is to diagnose a noise someone else is describing... one almost has to be there and hear it himself to have a better idea..

also different people could make a different sound to describe the very same noise they hear..
The least you can do is to say thank you to the guys for trying to help you,,,,,,,instead of saying that we have no idea of what you are talking about ,,
well maybe you are not describing it correctly,, ever tought of that ??

well if your so sure about it then why don't you just diagnose it yourself?

if it was your TQ converter it would whine and the pitch would change with engine speed and the whine would most likely dissapear once the car reach cruising speed and the lockup clutch was activated. and your car would not have lasted as long as it has without the trans failing. Could be a differntial problem with the car or an accessory on the engine....

I had that even in park. My tranny started slipping really bad about a year or so after I noticed the "super charger" like sound and is not really driveable anymore since it slips so bad. Time to do auto-manual swap for me.

ok well Its a whurring sound, its mostly only 1st gear at light throttle starting about 1500rpm to about 3000, if accelerating lightly its alot more noticealbe then if you accelerate hard. it does get louder as the rpms increase
