I have a 97 SH that has just been overhauled. New bearings, port and polish head, type s pistons and a hone job, new Kteller cams, Crower cam gears, DC header, exhaust, etc.

What sort of oil should I use on this engine?

mobile 1 10w-30 some say to use the 5w-30 in the winter time. also for if the motor isn't broken in yet use some castrol gtx or somethin for the first couple of changes and change at around 1k for those first changes.

Mobil One 5w-30 or any 5w-30 type of oil should do the trick since your motor has been overhauled.

with the new rings i'd use a conventional until break in, then a synthetic 5w or 10w30.
