I think Its a waste of money. Just buy a pollyurethane shifter busjhing kit. The CRX's have short enought shifters already

I just had my short shifter installed a couple days ago. I love it! The short throw feels great and it is very presice. Some people say that short shifters can ruin your tranny by toasting your syncros. As far as i know this is only a myth but I suppose if you are always flooring it and slam shifting you could do some damage. I recommend going with the dc sports one, or one just like it ( it really doesnt matter, they are all the same) I bought mine off ebay from Air Dynamic Racing for $17.99. I also recommend getting it installed by a professional. But if you decide to do it yourself make sure you replace your o-rings. Bottom line though, the short shifter makes shifting gears much more fun and is a worthy and inexpensive mod for your Honda.

i dont think that they r really worth it. the weak part of the shifting that i have found is that the bushings are real mushy in the shift linkage. if u get some good urethane bushings in your shifting then it is pretty much the same improvement as a short shifter would be. not only that but most drivers dont have enough skill to push the clutch just past friction shift and back to friction quick enough where a shortty would make a difference as big as the bushings anyways.

You're absolutly right about the poly urenthane bushings, they work great and would complement the stock shifter nicely, but the short throw shifter is much more enjoyable than stock any day. The bushings with the short shifter would be a great combo , I dont have them with my short shifter, but it feels near perfect already so I probably wont even bother.
