i'd buy it if you plan on redoing the suspension, bushings, and swapping it..... that is if you are getting it for really cheap.

yeah well im just trying to point out the things that go bad with age... i'm gonna start replacing some of the bushings on my DB2 just because they're starting to creek. Like i said if you get it for cheap and it runs strong its worth it.

i failed to mention that the reason mine blew was because it lost all oil pressure...

i say take it, if this is a 92 or 93 DA, chances are the miles are mostly highway miles and highway miles rack up fast but are actually better than regular city miles. I'd rather buy a car with 200,000 where over 100,000 miles are highway than a car with 140k on it that hasnt been driven on long drives. Just replace timing belt and oil and water pump first off and do a compression test to make sure everything is good. bushings will have to eventually come as with all older cars along with suspension probably. good luck

I wouldn't be so worried about the motor as long as the guy selling it can show where the maintenance was done on it. My DA has +300k on it w/ the original motor and runs perfectly. The only thing aside from normal maintenance that's been done to the engine was a head gasket last year which was preventative due to a slow seep. The inside of the motor didn't look like it had over 30k on it, no cyl ridge, good cross-hatch on cyl walls, etc.

The bigger problem I would be worried about is rust. MD is on the borderline where rust can really ruin these cars, I wouldn't even consider anything from any further north and I'd be real hesitant on one in MD.

Suspension bushings on mine are just now being swapped over to poly but that has more to do with the fact that I autox the hell out of the car and am trying to get the last little bit out of the car.

The biggest thing I would look at is how the past owners have taken care of the car. I bought my '91 from the 2nd owner who had the car since '94 and had meticulous records of all maint.

BTW, have you looked for a DA in GA? Ton's of DA's running around here and regularly see them on craigslist.

Good luck!
