Default Air Conditioning Pressure Switch

Ok heres the problem. My A/C Compressor clutch will not cut on. I rotated the clutch and it does not have excessive drag/play. The A/C Condenser Fan works. The system is properly charged and oiled. I checked everything electrical and everything check out ok except the A/C Pressure switch. Here is the information I gathered:

1. Voltage for the A/C Pressure Switch wire at the ECU registers at 3.75V
2. Voltage at the A/C Pressure Switch is 0V
3. Continuity is 0 ohms between the two wires at the pressure switch

I havent check the condenser fan relay yet because I figured it was ok because the fan works properly.

I havent checked all of the A/C Pressure switch wires, but I checked the most obvious places and everything looks ok. So, I ask you all what do you think could be my problem?

New Pressure Switch?
Broken Wire?
Relay?

Any help would be appreciated... Thanks...

jump the pressure switch connector w/ a paper clip, if it cuts on then its the switch (or you are infact low on freon) if it still doesnt come on plug it back in, move to the relay, swap it w/ the fan relay and see if it clicks on them. other than that you got the expansion valve that will cause the same problem, but i have only seen one go bad in my life. for some reason honda relays are known for going bad, hence the reason people's cooling fans dont work most of the time.

ok. Before everything, the car would idle like the clutch was engaging, but in fact the clutch was not engaging. After doing the paper clip trick, the car does the same thing with the pins and with the connector back on the switch(has the correct idle, no clutch engagement)... No problem at the switch, i suppose.

The only thing I can think now is the clutch really is shot or I need a new fuse box.

Any other suggestions?

are you actually watching the clutch while doing this??? i usually just crank the car, turn a/c on high, and jump them while watching. you can also hotwire the clutch for a sec to make sure the clutch works before troubleshooting any further. i would almost put money on the relay though, its so common. oh, and the idle is most likely the ELD compensation for the electrical load of the a/c fan.

Yes, I was watching the clutch, and i tried to help spin it.

When I use the jumper wire on the fuse box while the car is off, I get the "click."

Would it be safe to hotwire it while the car is running to make sure the clutch works?

if you hear it click its working, DONT PUT YOUR HAND NEAR IT WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING DUMMY.

Tehe, I was really careful. I knew I was being stupid... curiosity kills the cat....

So what do you think? Relay? Fuse Box?

I am pretty sure it isnt the relay because i put the fan relay(fan works as stated) in the clutch relay slot...

what year car are we talking about, cuz the ef and eg have the relays down on the radiator support, and arent labeled. if its an EK i have no clue.

I have a 99. According to the diagram, I only have fuses relate to the a/c in the accompanying fuse boxes. Let me know if there is oter fuses...

me and schardbody believe the problem lies between the a/c switch on the climate control and the relay.... Tomorrow will tell

did u get this fixed? i got the same problem.

my clutch works when its manually hot wired, and when i do that, the fan comes on too.
