Which coilover setup for a DD and auto-x'ed ITR
I've heard many good aspects as well as bad in regards to the two setups provided. If you can tell me why you chose what you did I'd really appreciate it. I'm stuck between these setups and I'm looking to order by monday. Thx

I'm open to other options, although for the money, these seem to be the best bang for the buck.

i have omni power sports? revalved.. i like it alot but it's kind of rough when you hit pot holes. but it still rides almost smooths as stock suspension. in smoothness wise

I've heard the omni's can be bouncy at times, any truth behind this?

If you are running in DS just get the Konis and stay with stock springs (you cant alter ride height with coilovers).
If you are running any other class get the SPSS3 Konis that will handle higher spring rates that you will require to be competitive in those classes (assuming you want to be competitive). I know Redshiftmotorsports sells the SPSS3 Konis rather than having a new set revalved that is a better way to go.
Forget the Omnis.

If you plan on going with the GC/Koni route, I suggest having the shocks shortened as well. You won't be able to lower the vehicle as much as you'd like because you'll be riding on the bumpstops. The Koni's people praise about are revalved and shortened, not the OTS variety which are limited.
Omnipower's have adjustable shock body so you're able to lower it as you will without sacrificing shock travel.

you CAN alter the ride height on the omnis, the lower pertch is adjustable.

I'm wondering WHY a ton of ppl say this, what about the omni's makes them inferior, I feel like word of mouth has spread about the collar issues omni had in the earlier models (which is now solved), and they've gotten a poor following ever since. If you can elaborate I'd appreciate it
Also, I'm definitely not looking to stay stock. Keep the comments coming

Koni and ground control both have lifetime warranty + excellent customer service. You can get the koni's customized as well (double adjustable, shortened, revalved based on future spring rates).
Omni has good customer service, but their products seem to break more than the other coilovers on the market....

That's not the point. And neither did I when I first read them about a year ago. Funny how you can learn quite a bit by reading the entire post, all 12 pages worth if need be.
Pay close attention to what CRX Lee posts up.

my car had omni's on it when i bought it... after some research i decided to swap to the koni/gc's which i couldn't be more happy with. I also opted for the gc top hats which allow for a bit more travel without having to get the koni's shortened. The awesome warranty on them and the ride quality even with 400/500 rate springs kills that of the omni sports

pm crx lee or call koni.. they are located across state here in kentucky

One last question for those who are familiar/and or have the Koni/GC setup. What's the best spring rate for a DD/auto-xed R? I see a ton of ppl running 400 F/ 500 R. On most other OTS setups I see the rates are higher in the front and lower in the rear, why are ppl running the lower rates in the front on these? If someone can elaborate I'd really appreciate it
