Doesn't make a differnece on a N/a Motor. Just on Turbo Engines, where there is more pressures present. It won't hurt your engine to put a filter on it, but it won't help it either.

the breather filler on your valve cover actually does much more harm than good, the line was engineered to send blow by back into the intake manifold.
by putting a breather on you are sending all of your blow by into the atmosphere and the breather syster is not functioning as intended
after market catch cans work well for filtering out oil in the blow by and keeping your intake manifold cleaner, as long as they are hooked up properly
if you want an effective sistem go with a catch can and ditch the little filter on the valve cover
