well...big rain last night. 5AM get woke up sunroof and windows are down....seats are soaked. carpet soaked. floor mats soaked. all the blue on the center console has faded. i look at the positive in this. i needed to steam clean the whole interior anyways. any ways any one know any good air freshener or mildew destroyers? hopefully my black magic will restore the center console.

I would say to unbolt the seats, spray your cleaner-foam stuff down and then shop-vac the hell out of everything.

just got done steam cleaning every fabric in the interior of the car. and i mean everything lol. ima start black magic once everything dries. i dont have any deoderizers with me so i might just febreeze the carpet after it dries b4 i put the seats back in. but damn my carpet under the seats was DIRTY. talk about weight reduction lol i musta dropped a lb or two!! (j/k)

 

If I was you I would just remove the interior and let it sit in a garage someplace to air out for a couple of days. Especially the carpet. I guess if it didn't rain that hard it wouldn't be too bad, but if you still have the body drain plugs in and there was a good amount of water that got in then you would have standing water under the steamcleaned carpet.

 

true. i have everything back together. the black magic cleaned up the center console pretty good. still a few blemishes but no biggie. i think i got most of the water out if it starts smelling im gunna rip out the carpet and just buy new. ill let yall know how it goes the next few days.

 

even if it doesnt start smelling, the carpet could be molding underneath. i would rip it out and do what m@ said. dont want moldy carpets, can cause allergy attacks among other unpleasent things

 

well the carpet was already gunna be replaced within the next few months when i get money to repair/paint car. plan on getting black carpet, black s2k or rsx seats, 94-96 console, and the black leather rear seats all when i get the car repaired/painted.
