My friend just bought a 3000GT...
It has after market turbo's and stuff. the stock ones came with it too though and he said I can have em. What I was wondering. What are they? And could I start a little HMT kit with em for my teg?

They come with 9B turbos stock.

weight doesnt bother me if you have the power to pull it. are you going to drive a go cart because it's light? the twin turbo models are good for mid-high 13s from the factory. used to be my dream car but now theyre too expensive with low miles. and a bitch to work on

I am assuming that you mean your motor was at 8,000 RPM, and not the turbo charger.

If you are getting them for free its worth a shot right? I wouldnt go for a twin turbo setup (more reciprocating mass=more things work against the car) but definitely see if you can fabricate a turbo system from one of them. Good luck either way
