and the front set, do you just swap the fronts? knuckle, calipler etc? there is alot of info for rear but i cant find out if the 99 fronts are compatible with the front of an eg.

I'm 99% sure you need the whole knucke, rotor, caliper. Also, you will need a larger master cylinder than your stock eg one. After I did my swap and without the new MC my brakes were slightly mushy.
