well heres a pic of what it looks like. this ones identical to the one i had on the motor before it sat for like 8 months, which caused the valve to only open about 1/2 way, and push the idle a lot.

now the motor was rebuilt, from a b16a3 to an ls/vtec with a b18b bottom end and the same b16 head. i tried an iacv valve that was different from this one (it was flush black on the end where as this one has a round cylinder that comes out where, and the motor still idled high.
this is a pic of what the one i tried looked like.

the bolt patterns are the same, but the part where the plug is on the end, one of them as you can see is different than the others. the top one is like the one that was on the motor originally. the one on the bottom threw a code, and still idled messed up (started at like 1500 and went up to like 2500ish), so im hoping this will solve the problem.
thanks

I need this one....i guess the main difference is between obd-0 and obd-1/2, the 0 being a 3 wire and the 1/2 being a 2 wire. I guess the d-series and b-series ones are all pretty much the same.
regardless, the one i need, again, looks IDENTICAL to this.....
The one I posted in the last picture is the D-series Obd1 IACV. It came off My 93 Del sol S.
The one on the top two pics is the B-series OBD1.
I posted the B-series one for reference. Both of the IACV's that I have are OBD1 and have two plugs. You dont have to have the one with black on it. It doesn't make one bit of difference.
Also, just to help if you switched to another Obd-1 IACV and that didn't help, then you need to try and check to see if you accidently switch the plug for your IACV and your EVAP. I did it. It can happen and if that's the case then you need to check your ECU, because the circuits that the IACV respond to could be fried. Trust me, it happened to me. Any OBD-1 D-series IACV should work. They are all the same.
