Default Any advice?...Stuck axle in the tranny... :(

I need too get this damn thing out so I can ship it too theshocker!!!

I can't seem to get the damn passenger side axle poped out of the tranny. I'm not really sure of any tricks too getting this done, but I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this! I've taken out countless axles, and I've never had this problem.

If it matters, I just took the tranny out with the axle still on there.

try prying the joint from the buttom part of the tranny, maybe it helps. that's what we did last week when we took out the knuckle ***'y. i kept prying from the top when my buddy just pop it up easily by prying from the buttom.

i usually just stick my pickle fork on there and it comes out. on the tranny thats in my car now, the intermediate shaft was stuck in the tranny so i went through the diff and hit it out witha screwdriver, just watch out for the diff and the diff pin

A pickle fork or a big flat head screwdriver can usually do the trick.

Is a pickle fork any different than a pry bar? I have been going nuts with my pry bar and it won't budge.

I'll definetly try the screw driver thing tho.

yeah a pickly fork is basically a balljoint puller.. U can go to autozone and rent one for 15$ and when u take it back u get the 15$ back. It works wonders, took my a longer drive to pick it up then to take of the axle

When I'm pulling them it's usually because they go bad, so I'm off to replace them free of charge anyways

just make sure its not obstructed and level on the other end by having someone hold on to it.

Use a thin flathead to break the seal all the way around and then hammer a pickle-fork all the way in. It widens as it goes up so it will pop ot out.

If the other axle is out grab a flash light and a pick. Usually the ring get stuck and wont allow the axle to come out . compress the rind and pry , that usually happens on odessey trans .

yeah try something like that...

i had to pull axles out and one was stuck the other was already out.

I got a flat head slipped it in the diff (side where the axle was already out) and smaked it with a hammer pushing the stuck axle out. Just becarefull not to get the screwdriver stuck in the diff...

I had to do this once when the oring that is on the end of the axle was to big, so it didnt let the axle slide out

Try a wide pittman ball joint seperator, if you only get one side you can bang it in between the tranny and the axel cup and the wedge slowly forces it out, also just a slowly sloping piece of metal like a metal doorstop would work of you could find something of the sort, i used a railroad spike that was grinded with an angle grinder when i had the problem. Yeah im ghetto
