do i need to clamp or weld my test pipe to prevent an exhaust leak?

my test pipe is 3 peices. (omni-power if that helps). should i weld them together or will it be ok?

 

i wouldnt weld it, just because you never know when you will need to remove it... i just went to car quest and picked up some exhaust gaskets and i bolted the test pipe in. Doesnt leak for me... so it should work for you too.

 

no fool leave it alone. the whole point its made like that is to be adjustable to fit different engine swaps

 

^ Correct. Don't weld or clamp it, it'll be fine as long as you don't overextend it. If you have the proper catback, this shouldn't be necessary.
