Default JDM Integra SiR

Hey guys how you all doing?

It's my first post here, and before I get comments on use the search feature etc (which I have done and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for), I would like some input of yours.

I Live in Cyprus and currently own a Toyota Vitz. In the next 2 months i'm looking at buying an Integra SiR (1997 Model, 86607KM on clock), but my main problem here is trying to find decent performance parts at decent prices. I have several mates living in the states and they said that they will buy me stuff and post them over to me as the exchange rate is so favourable for me at present.

ANyway, i'll stop babbling on now. I know that the engine is a B18C (? Correct me if i'm wrong), and I have researchged that the Integra GSR you guys have has a B18C1 engine. Also noted theres 10PS difference between the two. I am wondering about inter compatibility of the parts between these two engines. I'm looking at ANY parts, from exhaust systems to headers, pulleys etc etc etc. I know the USDM and JDM civics have plenty of compatible parts, as I was going to get a Civic, but prefer a bigger car instead.

I'd love to hear any of your replies guys as I like to know what i'm up to before I buy my cars

Cheers in advance

Ross

Well Ross, SiR and GSR are indeed pretty much the same. The reason, our GSR has 10 less horses, is due to the fact that the SiR piston has a higher compression ratio then our GSR. Also the GSR air intake manifold is different, from that of your SiR. But, headers, exhaust, and all other components should be the same. GL!

Hi jdm_bones.

Thanks for your reply. I'm glad to see that all parts should be compatible with the SiR. I look forward to using this forum a lot more in the future. Cheers guys

I think so, they both use same engine, excpet the SiR-G was only produced in 1994

Hi Ross,

I had a JDM DC2 SiVtec, most parts are interchangeable with the GSRs. I had a friend in the States ship over a set of H&R sport Springs for acura gsr from inlinefour... installed no problems to the factory shocks of the sivtec.

The car you're looking at buying... does it have the flat headlights? If so, it is most likely be an SiR-G, they were produced from 95 ~ 00.

the SIR is the same as the GSR in every respect

the only differene is in the motors internal parts and some external parts such and bumper supports

all parts are completely intercgangeable with the SIR and GSR

LOL, he also said mates, not something you hear everyday.

Hey man, you should be good buying parts for the GSR and putting them on your car. Everything should bolt right up no problem. Good luck and post pics when you get the car.
