Default Need helpf fabbing a eg hath roll cage

I have a friend in the metal fabrication industry, i have some knowledge and experience in metal fabrication but i just wondered if anyone could help me here.

How can i/what is the best way to mock up a cage and then get it made? as in how would i make a acurate template for my friend to follow?

And does the cage have to be assembled inside the car or can they be lifted in and welded down?

any help much appreciated thnx

You'll need a friend in the automotive metal fabrication industry for this to work.

Probably just have to look harder. Try asking around at local races.

One word of advise, I'd rather have no cage at all than a poorly built cage.

use cardboard for all the bends and just draw it out. that will give u an idea then u just have to f*ck with it to make it work.

These guys make nice pre-bent tube sets that you just have to fit and weld in.
