Anyone Know Where The Wire Antenna For The Keyless Entry Is Located At?

My Range Sucks On My Key FOB And Was Wondering If Anyone Knew Where It Was.
I Saw On A VW Site, Some Guy Cut And Spliced His And Ran The Wire Out Longer And He Went From 10Ft Distance From Car. To 400+Ft From The Car.

 

umm its not behind your rear view mirror? look at your (alarms) brain and follow some of the wires.

 

if its the oem alarm system its gonna be your radio

 

If It Is The Radio, Do You Know If Its Off The Actual Car Antenna Or If its A Specific Wire? I Bought My Car From A Used Car Dealership, And They Hacked The Whole Comsole And Cut And Spliced The Wires.

 

I'm 99.9% sure it's a receiver in the radio, but it could be through the antenna, I'm not sure :-\

 

Yeah. Looking At My Chiltons Guide. They Have The Wiring Schematic For The Power Door Locks With Nothing Indicating Antenna. And The Radio Wiring Has Nothign For Antenna. Just The Power Antenna. But I Have The Windshield Antenna.

Any Help.

 

The antenna is in the receiver.
Did you try replacing the battery in your remote?

 

Serveral Time. I Just Get No Range Off My Key FOB. I Would Like To Get More Than A Cars Length Distance Range On My Alarm.
