EK with type r suspension?
hey guys i jkus bought an EK with type r suspension. Now i want to change the rotors, and the shocks, and springs, and bearings. What do i need to ask for when i got to the store for parts? An acura integra type r? thanx alot for all info.
Yeah, you want to use R parts for the parts you replaced. It's funny some of the R parts, like brake pads are easier to get then regular integra pads (because they're the same pads as the Legend, V6 accord, CRV and Odessy). The wheel bearings are all the same on all the 94-2001 Integras.
If you don't have a press or special front hub tool, you're not going to be doing wheel bearings. They're pressed apart and pressed back together again.
It's a nice setup. Did you get the rear brakes too? They're needed to balance out the larger front brakes.
Other than the rear lower control arm, the R suspension bolts right on.

Make sure you secure the car before spending all kinds of cash on upgrading things. Even if you trust the person you bought the car from, that person has friends or family that know what's on the car and possibly where you live.
Best of luck to you with your new ride!

GOOD CALL... and you forgot, possibly KEYS to the car too! Be careful man, too many stolen threads being posted.

You may also want to start a folder for the car. Put receipts for all work and parts you purchase for this car in this folder. That way when/if it's stolen you don't have to hunt around for them.
Don't keep anything important in the car.
