'93 Accord: Heating-A/C dial broken
My dial for the temp. broke and pops out when I drive over a rough surface and the fan speed one is relatively easy to pull off its socket.
I called the nearest junk part place and was told I can't buy the dial individually from them rather I have to purchase the entire piece and that's the norm no matter where I look. This sounds kind of whack because it makes no sense to buy the entire heat set with buttons and dials and so forth and then install it -- does anyone know if this is bs and I can indeed grab just the dials from some place? Thanks..

Just get a new one from your dealer or http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com
if you get a used one you risk it breaking again

Right, you apparently have to pull the dash to fix that one (I've had that problem for a while but am to lazy to do it, even though my heat **** won't go all the way to the right... winters are mild here).
Your not having that one too are you?

My heat **** does this thing where if i put it all the way on the red side, it just slides back halfway automatically and won't stay. I was told in the past you had to pull the dash to replace it, thats what i thought you were talking about, but they sound like similar problems regardless.
