Default GSR tranny/flywheel brace?

Would anyone know if the GSR/LS tranny/flywheel brace would fit an ITR? Also is there a difference between the two? The problem is that im trying to install my header and it hits the brace. I was told that I could use a GSR/LS brace because it would open up some room.

Anyone know for sure?

i belive your talking about the brace that goes from the flywheel housing to the engine block that only comes on itr's.
you might have a header that is specific to the b16 which has a smaller deck height.

Yes, thats it. So what would be my option? I really dont want to run without the brace.

What about using a GSR/LS?? If they fit im willing to give it a shot and test out to see show much room they actually open up.

dude, you'll be fine without the brace. save yourself a pound of two, and leave them off. it also makes for less work when you R&R the trans or clutch.

I believe I removed that brace on my first R back in '99 to install a JUN header. Mike K is right, you'll be fine without it.
