Default Stoptech Type R Big Brake Kit

The Stoptech Type R big brake kit pictures that have been posted by Yoshi on this forum were taken by me (Terry Griffin) at Griffin Motorwerke Inc. These were taken the morning after we put them on. This is the first kit made by Stoptech for production after months of R+D. The kit is available from Griffin Motorwerke for $1795.00. The kit features 328x28mm (12.9x1.1") Stoptech Aero rotors. They are preassembled two piece floating construction featuring black anodized 7075 T-6 aluminum hats . These rotors kick serious behind on anything on the market today in terms of heat dissipation and resisting warpage. The Calipers ( available in red or black) are up to three times more rigid than the competition's pieces. Each caliper has pistons that are sized to the Type R application . This means that the volume of the master cylinder output is matched to the volume of the caliper pistons. The result is a much better pedal feel. The pads that come standard in the kit are the Axxis Ultimate units. These pads are excellent for high performance street and autocross use. These pads have an effective range up to 900 degrees F. To give a reference the stock Type R pads fall off the table at the 580 degree range. To complete the kit Stoptech has included their beautiful anodized billet aluminum caliper brackets and their braided stainless front brake hoses with the clear outer coating. We recommend that when you install this kit that you flush the brake fluid in the car using a Dot 4 (minimum) fluid. On any kit that comes through or shop we use the Motul 600 racing fluid for extra protection. This fluid sells for $13.95 from us. You must use 17 inch wheels with this kit. In the pictures that were posted on this forum ( or featured on Stoptech's website) you can see that the car has the 17 inch SSR Competition wheel. These fit perfectly with no spacer. If you do need spacers for the wheels we stock the H+R units in various thickness to fit your needs. If you are interested in this kit and need more information or you want to order, please call us at (510)524-7447. Ask for James Chin or Terry Griffin.

You might wanna tone this down a bit, kinda "commercially" if that makes sense.

Especially since there are board sponsors, namely us, that are Stop Tech dealers. LOL. Just wish you did not have to run 17's with the kit!
