Default need to know whats the best route for my 97 del sol si

its got 100k on it and is in great condition. whats should i do to get the fastest 1/4 mile time and most hp.

1. i/h/e and a jackson racing super charger

2. i/h/e and a 55 shot of zex

3. rock a single cam turbo on a safe 7-8 lbs.

keep price in mind aswell for this im not looking to dro 4 grand in power mods. and i dont want a homemade turbo system.

put one and two together and your looking at the fastest 1/4 time, with most reliablility. the turbo option is great with unlimited possibilties but your looking at spending the most money.

don't get a supercharger, last time I checked for a civic they're maddddddddd expensive....

I would turbo it, I'm pretty sure u can pick up a decent name brand turbo kit for like 1.5-2k, if all ur considering is quater mile then I'd take the turbo, run about 9lbs there, and get the nitrous shot also...and that'll get rid of the need for a header and intake, so just get a catback w/ that setup and u should have a really tight quater mile time

i dont know if youve read up on your turbo's but how many pounds doesnt mean you get more horsepower.

and with the turbo as well as the nitrous he has to tune it precisely, as well as get internals if hes running a turbo with nitrous.

yeah its easy to say, okay im going to get a turbo with nitrous and run it at 9lbs.
but there are so many more variables as well such as

the driver
the weight
the tires
the tuning

i dont even know, theres just alot more to it than just saying. okay im getting a turbo.

and to the original poster,

just search on here or anywhere and youll find the best routes to great quater mile times. just research it before you have mommy and daddy buy it for you.

Yeah well all that plus the variable that every car reacts differently...it needs to be tuned first hand, everybody knows that

i wouldnt run 2 power adders on stock internals and im not building my internals.so its either one or the other.

1. i/h/e and a jackson racing super charger

2. i/h/e and a 55 shot of zex

3. rock a single cam turbo on a safe 7-8 lbs.

i/h/e super charger is the safest. turbo and shots require internals unless you don't mind your engine going boom after a few runs. regardless of which way you go, it's gonna smash your wallet atleast 2k (i'd say 2.5k) if you don't want to kill your engine.

I'd MUCH rather be unhappy with a $400 n2o setup, than with a $2000 supercharger setup.

You could always go with a junkyard turbo setup for <$1000, but I'd get pissed with all the little maintenance crap (especially with a daily driver).
