I still don't have vtec GOT RICE!

I still don't have vtec GOT RICE!
I ran into trouble with my b16a2 as some of you know I swaped it into a 96 cx hb
and was having some problems with it and know my vtec stoped working does anybody know what can cause the vtec to stop working.
can I run a separate wire for the vtec if so how can I do it and can I use a vtec controller with it.

see if the solenoid works first
you cant just make a switch to turn it on (well you can, but its stupid)
hold a wire on the pos. battery termnial then touch the 1pin connector on the solenoid. it should make a clicking noise
